Landlord Agreement
Electric service must be in the name of the customer who is responsible for the electric bill. A new service fee will be charged when a service transfer occurs unless covered under a Landlord Agreement. A customer must notify LES regarding disconnection of service in their name, at which time LES will place the service in the name of the property owner or their agent if a Landlord Agreement form is on file with LES and Bill Landlord Between Tenants is selected. If there is no Landlord Agreement form on file or the Landlord Agreement is set to Disconnect When Vacant, electric service will be disconnected until LES receives a new request for service. Landlords are not responsible for unpaid bills by a tenant while the service is in the tenant’s name. Landlords or designated third parties cannot resell or redistribute electric service. The LES Landlord Portal is a service provided by LES that allows customers who manage or own commercial properties to securely monitor the electric service of the properties. The LES Landlord Portal provides access to information regarding the party responsible for the service address account, name changes for the service address, power status, electricity use and bill amount history, and more.
